Qualifications

• Master’s degree in Architecture, Urban Design, Computer Science, Engineering, or related field.

• Programming skills such as Python, C#, or web technologies.
• Strong interest in AI, digital twins, and urban design innovation.
• Ability to work in interdisciplinary research environments.
• Strong communication and collaboration skills.
• Fluency in English (C1 level).
• Dutch language proficiency is an advantage.

Responsibilities

• Develop digital twin models of living lab neighborhoods.
• Design computational tools for inclusive neighborhood planning and design.
• Apply AI-enabled methods to analyze accessibility and spatial conditions.
• Integrate spatial data, environmental sensing, and behavioral insights.
• Prototype socio-spatial interventions addressing mobility and social participation.
• Conduct participatory design processes with residents and stakeholders.
• Evaluate and refine interventions through iterative design cycles.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams within the ELLI project.
• Publish research outputs in academic journals and conferences.
• Support municipalities and planners with digital tools for inclusive environments.
