Nederlandse Spoorwegen is looking for a Fullstack Mobile Developer to join Team Map and shape the NS app for Android and iOS. You’ll collaborate with UX, analysts, developers, and the Product Owner to craft intuitive mobility features that improve millions of travelers’ journeys.

You’ll work in a hybrid setup from the Utrecht HQ or from home, contributing to architecture and best practices while delivering high-quality, scalable software and automated tests.

Formación

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Software Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field.
• At least 2 years of experience developing Android and/or iOS applications in a Scrum or DevOps environment.
• Experience with Kotlin, Kotlin Coroutines, and Jetpack Compose.
• Experience with Swift, SwiftUI, and Combine.
• Experience with Clean Architecture and automated testing.
• Fluency in either Dutch or English.

What will you do as a Fullstack Mobile Developer?

As a Fullstack Mobile Developer, you will join Team Map and contribute to the continued development of the NS app across both Android and iOS platforms. Together with UX designers, business analysts, developers, and the Product Owner, you will create intuitive digital experiences that improve the journey of millions of travelers.

Your expertise and passion for mobile development will help shape new features while continuously improving existing functionality.

You will join Team Map, part of the Passenger Experience domain at NS. The team plays an important role in connecting train travel with additional mobility services such as OV-fiets, parking solutions, and shared mobility providers.

Team MAPS develops the technology behind shared and integrated mobility at NS. From booking shared vehicles and taxis through MAAS-API and APP-TAXI-BFF-API, to mobility options and Greenwheels registration via MODALITY-API/BFF.

Our landscape also includes the serverless SHARED-INTEGRATED-MOBILITY-BOOKING, the Mendix application DELTA, and PLACES-API with OpenSearch for stops, OV-fiets, parking and station information. STATION-FACILITIES-STATUS-API adds facility status data, while NEAR-ME helps travellers discover nearby mobility options, facilities and departure times.

• Strong communication skills.

• A salary in Scale 60, ranging from €3,743 to €6,491 gross per month (based on a 36-hour workweek and depending on your experience)
• The opportunity to work from home and enjoy flexible working hours (by mutual agreement)
• A 36-hour working week
• A 3% year-end bonus, 8% holiday allowance, and an excellent pension scheme
• A permanent contract after one year, subject to good performance
• Free travel by train in 2nd class; travel in 1st class is available for a small personal contribution
• Your family can travel free of charge during off-peak hours
• 144 hours of statutory leave (based on full-time employment), plus additional leave depending on age (at least one extra week)
