Job summary

Circularise is hiring a product engineer to own frontend and backend work for our supply chain traceability platform. You will shape requirements, write specs, and take features from concept to production with input from product managers but substantial team autonomy.

Based in the Netherlands or EU and able to travel to The Hague roughly once a week, you’ll work with React/Next.js, TypeScript, Node.js, and MySQL.

Qualifications

• Strong coder with ability to read unfamiliar codebase, debug, and write maintainable code.
• Experience in startup or early-stage environments with hands-on delivery.
• Focus on users; understand problems before building solutions.
• Excellent written and verbal communication across engineers, PMs, and customers.
• Based in the Netherlands or EU and able to visit The Hague roughly once a week.

Responsibilities

• Build frontend and backend features using React and Node.js, including REST endpoints and database design.
• Take features from problem definition to production: scoping, building, testing, and shipping.
• Collaborate with customer success, sales, and product teams to discover what to build.
• Write clean, tested, readable code and review peers' code to provide constructive feedback.
• Engage with users to understand requirements and validate solutions.
