Job description

We are looking for a Full Stack Software Engineer to help us further develop and implement our digital pension portals at customers. If you enjoy working across both front-end and back-end technologies, building scalable solutions and contributing to modern digital experiences, we would like to meet you.

As a Full Stack Software Engineer within a team, you develop and maintain the digital portals and supporting services that pension providers use to interact with employers, advisors and participants. You work across the full technology stack, building intuitive user interfaces while also developing and enhancing the backend services that power them.

Together with Software Engineers, Test Engineers, Design Engineers and a Product Owner, you take ownership of delivering high-quality functionality from concept to production. You analyse functional requirements, translate them into technical solutions and contribute to all stages of the software development lifecycle.

You help further modernising our technology landscape by improving existing applications, developing new features and contributing to architectural and engineering improvements. This includes initiatives such as modernising front-end components, enhancing backend services and APIs, improving performance and maintainability, and supporting the migration towards modern technologies and development practices.

You actively participate in technical discussions, code reviews and knowledge sharing. As part of a broader engineering community, you continuously look for opportunities to improve both your own skills and our products.

Key About Your Role
Key About Your Team

The Plexus Digital Engagement (PDE) cluster creates and manages the online portals that pension providers use to interact with employers, advisors and participants.

We support both long-time customers using existing portal solutions and new customers adopting our modern PDE platform. Our team combines product experts, engineers and support specialists who work together to deliver and maintain customer portals and ensure they run smoothly and securely.

PDE plays an important role in helping pension funds and insurers offer clear, user-friendly digital services and supports Keylane’s growth through new implementations and upgrades. You will work in a collaborative and experienced team where ownership, quality and continuous improvement are central.

Qualifications
  • You have at least 3–5 years of experience in software development within a SaaS or enterprise environment.
  • You have experience developing applications using Kotlin and/or Java and modern frameworks such as Micronaut.
  • You have experience with modern JavaScript frameworks (preferably Vue.js), TypeScript/JavaScript, HTML and CSS.
  • You have experience designing and integrating REST APIs.
  • You are used to working in Agile/Scrum teams.
  • You write clean, maintainable and well‑tested code with a focus on quality and performance.
  • You enjoy working across different parts of the technology stack and collaborating with multidisciplinary teams.
Nice to Have
  • Experience with cloud platforms such as Azure.
  • Experience with container technologies such as Docker and Kubernetes.
  • Experience with automated testing and CI/CD pipelines.
  • Knowledge of the pensions, insurance or financial services domain.
Benefits
  • A monthly gross salary between € 3.500 and € 4.900 based on 40 hours per week.
  • 8% holiday allowance of your total gross salary.
  • A profit share.
  • A pension scheme, with the option to save extra.
  • Travel reimbursement: Receive a mileage allowance of € 0.23 per km or an NS Business Card, which can also be used for personal travel.
  • 24 holiday days (with the option to buy extra) and 7 inclusion days, which can be exchanged with fixed Dutch national holidays, allowing you to take them when you like.
  • Flexibility in working environment. As part of a hybrid working team, you will work partly from home and partly from the office. If you work in the office, a free lunch is waiting for you every day. If you work from home, you will receive a working‑from‑home allowance (€ 4 net per day) and internet allowance (€ 35 net per month).
  • The possibility of working remotely from abroad for up to 2 months per year.
  • The possibility to lease a bike through our bike leasing program.
  • A one‑year contract that, subject to satisfactory performance, will be converted into a permanent contract.
  • The opportunity to develop yourself at our Academy through courses and training, both professionally and personally. A comprehensive vitality offer to help you stay healthy.
