Title: Experienced Full Stack Developer (Mid-Level / Senior)

Location: Amsterdam (Hybrid: 2-3 days on-site per week)

Job Type: Contract / Freelance

Target Rate: Around €68 per hour (depending on experience and skills)

Start Date: Immediate / As soon as possible

About the Role:

We are looking for an Experienced Full Stack Developer (Mid-Level & Senior) to join an agile engineering team in Amsterdam. In this role, you will take end-to-end ownership of high-quality applications-from solution design through production support.

You will work independently on complex technical challenges, balancing a strong primary focus on backend development expertise while also delivering effective, responsive user interfaces using React.js. If you enjoy driving architectural decisions, promoting system reliability, and creating customer-focused solutions that generate measurable business value, we want to hear from you.

Key Responsibilities:

• End-to-End Ownership: Design, build, test, deploy, and support high-quality applications across the full lifecycle.
• Architecture & Engineering Excellence: Contribute to architectural decisions, code quality, automation, observability, and operational excellence.
• Collaboration & Leadership: Collaborate closely with product, engineering, and business stakeholders; mentor peers where appropriate.
• Delivery & Operations: Resolve incidents, enhance performance, support secure and resilient systems, and participate in agile ceremonies and iterative delivery.

The Tech Stack & Profile:

• Core Technologies: Java, Spring Boot, microservices architecture, and React.js
• Data & Messaging: SQL / NoSQL databases (Kafka is a plus)
• Cloud & DevOps (Pluses): AWS, Kubernetes, Docker, and GitLab CI/CD
• Background & Domain: Proven experience in full stack/backend/frontend development; FinTech experience or building customer-facing apps is a plus
• Requirements: Relevant technical background, strong analytical mindset, and a demonstrated track record of clear project impact
