Job summary

Ingka Digital Kreativ is seeking a Front End Engineer to design, build, and refine web features for an innovative home shopping experience. You will collaborate with product design and QA to deliver polished UI using modern frameworks and to run tests that ensure quality.

Based in Amsterdam, you will join a team focused on scalable 3D/AI enabled experiences and customer conversion improvements, contributing to a seamless, delightful user journey.

Qualifications

• 4+ years’ experience building production software on substantial products/codebases.
• Proficient in modern Javascript/Typescript for frontend development.
• Expertise in delivering polished UI with modern frameworks like React/Vue/etc.
• Great teammate who can reliably collaborate with Product, Design, and QA teams to design, scope, and deliver novel experiences that customers love.
• Experience writing automated tests (unit/end-to-end).
• Demonstrated appreciation of visual style & aesthetics (possibly with portfolio).
• Bonus: 3D graphics experience.

Responsibilities

• Work collaboratively to prototype, iterate and deliver delightful user experiences with product design and usability sessions.

• Effectively partner and collaborate with our global tech staff including our California teams.
• Work primarily from the office in Amsterdam.

Front End Engineer – Responsibilities

• Design, build, test, deploy, and monitor web features for a new way to shop for home.
• Design a seamless customer journey integration for the company Kreativ on the company.com.
• Work collaboratively to prototype, iterate and deliver delightful user experiences: partner with product design, participate in usability sessions, and use your knowledge of frontend engineering to deliver best‑in‑class mixed reality shopping experiences.
• Improve performance, usability, and reliability of the Kreativ web application to improve customer satisfaction and conversion by delivering a high quality product, quickly fixing customer‑facing issues, and promoting test‑driven and data‑driven development.
• Effectively partner & collaborate with our global tech staff including our California teams (9 hours behind Ingka HQ).
• Work primarily from the office in Amsterdam.

Desired Experience

• 4+ years’ experience building production software on substantial products/codebases.
• Proficient in modern Javascript/Typescript for frontend development.
• Expertise in delivering polished UI with modern frameworks like React/Vue/etc.
• Great teammate – who can reliably collaborate with Product, Design, and QA teams to design, scope, and deliver novel experiences that customers love.
• Experience writing automated tests (unit/end‑to‑end).
• University foundations in Computer Science and software engineering preferred.
• Demonstrated appreciation of visual style & aesthetics (possibly with portfolio).
• BONUS: 3D graphics experience.
