Job summary

JouwWeb (Webador) is seeking a Front-End Engineer to help build and refine our in-browser editor and user-facing features. You will impact hundreds of thousands of users and millions of visits daily with JavaScript/TypeScript, React, and modern CSS/HTML.

You will collaborate with designers and engineers in a hybrid setup with office days in Strijp-S, Eindhoven, while delivering reliable, performant code and exploring AI-assisted tooling to accelerate work.

At JouwWeb / Webador, we help small business owners create a professional website or webshop without technical hassle. As a Front-End Engineer, you’ll work on software that directly impacts hundreds of thousands of users and reaches millions of visitors every day.

We care about end results and real user value, not complex code for the sake of it. Whether your heart lies in UX, smooth interactions, and smart product experiments, or in browser performance, DOM rendering, and solid code architecture, there is plenty of room here to make a visible mark.

What You’ll Work On

• Improve Our In-Browser Editor: Make building and editing a website feel effortless, fast, and reliable for non-technical users.

• Experiment & Iterate: Run product experiments and gather user feedback to build a delightful, long-term experience that directly improves retention and reduces churn.

• Balance UX & Engineering: Work closely with engineers and designers to turn ideas into clean, user-friendly features.

• Performance & Quality: Keep our web apps fast, clean up legacy patterns, and help build a healthy, maintainable codebase.

• You leverage modern AI tools to accelerate day-to-day development without compromising on code quality and reliability.

About You

We’re looking for someone who gets excited about seeing their code used in the real world.

• You have solid experience building web applications using JavaScript / TypeScript, React, and modern CSS/HTML.

• You care about web fundamentals, browser behavior, and user experience. You know when to use a framework and when simple native web tools work best.

• You value pragmatism over perfection: you write clean, testable code, but your main priority is delivering a great product.

• You take initiative, communicate clearly, and enjoy working in an informal, hybrid setup with room for deep focus.

• Salary: €4,600 – €6,000 per month (depending on knowledge and experience), plus a company bonus scheme.

• Learning Budget: 5% of your annual salary reserved for your growth and development.
