Job summary

Staffice B.V. is recruiting for a Freight Builder in the Leiden area. You will assemble aircraft pallets and ULD containers, stack and secure cargo, and ensure compliance with contour rules and airline specs.

The role requires forklift experience and strict adherence to weight and safety standards. This is a direct contract with the client, offering lucrative shift allowances and benefits. All duties are performed within a 24/7 rotating shift pattern, with support from Staffice throughout the

Qualifications

• Minimum of 3 months proven pallet-building experience.
• Fluent in either Dutch or English.
• Practical experience driving a forklift in a warehouse or air cargo hub.
• Solid understanding of aircraft loading contours, weight restrictions, and safety rules.
• Full availability to work in a continuous 24/7 rotating shift schedule.
• Conscientious work attitude and steady focus during peak operational hours.

Responsibilities

• Building aircraft pallets and ULD containers independently for various aircraft types.
• Stacking and securing air freight strictly according to contour rules and airline specifications.
• Processing specialized shipments, including centerload and outsized cargo.
• Fastening loads securely using certified nets, straps, and corner guards.
• Checking cargo for visible damages and documenting discrepancies immediately.
• Verifying weight, balance, and volume parameters against flight loading instructions.
• Entering build-up completion statuses accurately in the warehouse management system.
• Working closely with team members to ensure all flight cut-off times are met.

Job description

As a Freight Builder, you are responsible for the safe, stable, and accurate build-up of air cargo onto aircraft pallets and containers. You start your shift by coordinating flight priorities and departure deadlines with the warehouse lead. Throughout the day, you stack diverse shipments according to strict aircraft contour requirements, secure pallets with certified strapping and nets, and verify weight distribution. You complete your shift by performing final safety checks, logging pallet data into the warehouse system, and staging shipments for airside transport.

  • Monday to Saturday between 00:00 and 07:00: +40%
