Job summary

Vivid Resourcing is seeking a Freelance Technical Data Architect Lead to join a fully remote engagement for a Dutch client. The role focuses on Data Vault 2.0 modelling, new source integrations and a lead-design capacity across dbt and Snowflake environments.

Immediate start for a 6-month term, with extension likely. The ideal candidate will onboard new data sources, translate KPI requirements into robust technical designs, review solutions and guide developers while ensuring scope alignment

Qualifications

• Strong expertise in Data Vault 2.0 modelling and onboarding new sources.
• Hands-on experience with dbt Core/Cloud and Snowflake.
• Proven ability to define KPI requirements and translate into designs.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.

Responsibilities

• Lead the design and development of Data Vault 2.0 models and new data source integrations.
• Develop and maintain dbt and Snowflake solutions with quality and scalability.
• Translate functional requirements and KPI definitions into technical designs.
• Lead redesign and enhancement activities to integrate new KPIs.
• Review code and provide guidance to engineers.
• Oversee workload, prioritise tasks, unblock issues and contribute development work.
• Ensure timely delivery while maintaining data quality standards.
• Serve as the technical contact between engineering and business stakeholders.

Job Title: Freelance Technical Data Architect Lead

Location: Fully Remote (Dutch client)

Contract Type: Freelance

Start Date: ASAP

Duration: 6 months (likely extension)

Requirements:

• Strong expertise in Data Vault 2.0, with the ability to onboard and model new source files within the existing data environment.
• In-depth knowledge of dbt Core, dbt Cloud, and Snowflake.
• Hands-on experience with data testing and validation frameworks.
• Strong understanding of redesign activities and the ability to interpret functional requirements from Day 5 onwards.
• Ability to define and integrate new KPI requirements while maintaining the integrity of the existing data model.
• Experience reviewing technical solutions and providing technical guidance and support to developers.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
• Strong ability to understand functional KPI requirements and translate them into robust technical designs.
• Databricks knowledge is an advantage.
