What function?
Sioux develops and produces state-of-the-art technology for the top end of the international high-tech community. We raise the bar high, and we often achieve the impossible. Examples include a complex lithography machine, a compact electron microscope, a smart home automation system or an electric self-charging car. We do this with a team of enthusiastic electronics, software, mechanics, mechatronics and mathematics specialists.
What excites you as a FPGA Designer?
At Sioux, you will design FPGAs for products in sectors such as high-tech machinery or the medical market. As an FPGA designer at Sioux, you are a true all-rounder. We have a diverse range of projects and clients—from electron microscopes and advanced pick & place machines to systems for medical applications. You can find examples of our projects here. In addition, you also enjoy working within a team and getting the most out of it.
  • Collaborating in multidisciplinary teams on the most innovative projects
  • Working across different domains
  • Opportunities to develop your leadership and take on the technical lead
  • Gaining, sharing, and discussing knowledge with smart colleagues
  • Plenty of space to further develop your talents
This is what you bring to the table
  • You have a background in electronics at a bachelor's (HBO) or master’s (WO) level, with at least five years of relevant work experience
  • You have solid experience with FPGA/VHDL/Verilog design
  • Experience with (high-speed) board design is a plus
  • You’re familiar with FPGA design flows and have hands-on experience with simulation and design tools
  • You’re well-versed in various development methods and techniques, and you actively maintain your technical knowledge
  • You have excellent communication skills and are fluent in both Dutch and English, spoken and written
This is what you can expect in return
  • Flexible 32-40 hour working week, with the possibility to work from home. A healthy work-life balance is very important to us. We have 28 holidays with an option to acquire an additional 12 holidays.
  • You will work with passionate colleagues in different technical domains.
  • By combining our knowledge of software, electronics, mechanics, mechatronics, mathematics and assembly, we make the impossible possible for our customers and get to work on challenging high-tech projects.
  • You get a lot of freedom and responsibility; after all, you know exactly what you are doing.
  • Personal coaching and a training budget of €6000 per year, so that you can continue to develop yourself.
  • We also find it incredibly important to have fun together. We organize a lot for our employees: from family festivals and sparkling Christmas parties, to inspiring knowledge sessions for the high-tech community.
  • You will be working on the Sioux Campus and can use our Sioux Labs living room every day for lunch, sports, making music, and sharing your knowledge with colleagues in one of our Tech Labs.
High-Tech, High-Fun, High-Value.

We can tell you all about the typical Sioux culture and the challenging high-tech projects. About how you can develop yourself like nowhere else. But we prefer to leave this to our own colleagues.
