Job summary

Rhenus Group in Rotterdam (Waalhaven) is seeking a proactive Forwarding Operator to support our ocean freight import activities. You will independently plan and coordinate LCL and FCL shipments, ensuring timely and accurate handling from start to finish.

You will communicate with customers, local agents and shipping lines, prepare shipping documentation, and organise operational, administrative and commercial tasks to keep imports flowing smoothly.

For our ocean freight import department in Rotterdam (Waalhaven), we are looking for a customer-focused and decisive Forwarding Operator.

FUNCTION

As a Forwarding Operator, you will ensure that our customers’ needs are met efficiently within our ocean freight import operations. You will independently plan and coordinate LCL and FCL shipments, while handling the necessary operational, administrative and commercial activities. This includes preparing and processing all required shipping documentation and ensuring smooth shipment handling. You will maintain regular contact with customers, local agents and shipping lines, both nationally and internationally.
