Job summary

Magnum Ice Cream Co. is seeking a Forward Deployed Engineer to bridge business teams and technology across the Benelux region. You will design, build and ship AI-powered solutions on modern stacks next to field teams handling revenue management, pricing and promotions.

The role emphasizes hands-on field work, rapid delivery, and a strong collaboration culture. Fluent English required; experience with OpenAI, Claude and Copilot is a plus.

• Bias toward shipping usable solutions over perfect spec.
• Experience building agentic solutions on modern stacks (GPTs, Copilot, Claude).
• Ability to explain complex concepts simply to leadership.

Responsibilities

• Understand field problems by spending time with KAMs, RGM, marketing and R&D teams.
• Qualify requests to determine suitable AI approach (embedded vendor AI, out-of-the-box, low-code or custom build).
• Build agents, copilots, automations and dashboards.
• Drive adoption with training and iterative feedback.
• Ensure solutions pass AI Assurance process before release.

We want to transform how we decide and execute in the Benelux region: price, mix, promotions, assortment, field execution. The data exists. So do the platforms.

What's Missing Are People Who Can Bridge The Two.

That's what a Forward Deployed Engineer does: a hybrid profile, deployed on the front line inside business teams, designing, building and shipping concrete solutions - often AI-powered - right next to the people who'll use them.

This role is focused on the demand side: Marketing, R&D&I and Customer Development, where revenue management, pricing and promotion live.

What You'll Be Responsible For

• Understand before you code. Time in the field with KAMs, RGM, marketing and R&D&I teams. Turning an operational irritant into a solvable problem.
• Qualify before you build. For every request: is this embedded vendor AI, an out-of-the-box agent, low-code, or a genuine custom build? We always default to what we already own.
• Build fast. Agents and copilots, automations, decision dashboards, forecasting models, customer negotiation tools.
• Drive adoption. A solution only exists if it's used. You train, you iterate on feedback, you industrialise what works.
• Build it properly. Every solution goes through our AI Assurance process before it goes live, and you own that. This isn't admin: it's what lets you ship fast, in the open, with enterprise backing.
• Leave something behind. Each year you contribute reusable patterns to the enterprise library. France is Europe's proving ground.

We're Looking For Someone Who

• Real technical ability, paired with business instinct that's rare at this level of experience.
• Comfort being the only technical person in a room full of commercial stakeholders.
• A bias towards shipping: something usable today beats a perfect specification in three months.
• Instinct for agentic design - knowing when an agent is the right answer, and when it isn't.
• Demonstrable experience building agentic solutions, on any modern stack. For example: Custom GPTs and the OpenAI stack, Claude and Claude Code, Copilot and Copilot Cowork. Orchestration and automation: n8n, Zapier, LangChain or equivalent. Vibe-coding tools: Cursor, Replit, Lovable.
• Higher education - engineering school, university, quantitative business school - or a demonstrable self-taught path.
• Python and/or SQL, data manipulation, visualisation, API integration.
• Genuine business curiosity: you want to understand why a promotion works, why a mix deteriorates.
• The ability to explain simply, from the field to the leadership team.
• Fluent in English
• A desire to be in the field. This role doesn't happen behind a screen.
