Job summary

Meijer is seeking a Food Clerk to deliver remarkable customer service in a fast-paced retail environment. You will assist customers, explain products, stock and merchandize across Fresh departments, and use technology to complete tasks efficiently.

You will build relationships with customers and teammates, maintain appealing displays, and follow safety procedures to ensure quality and great store operations.

Qualifications

• Physical ability to lift, stand, and be active.
• Retail or food service experience is helpful but not required.

Responsibilities

• Build positive connections with customers and teammates.
• Share product knowledge and help customers find what they need.
• Maintain full, fresh, and visually appealing product displays.
• Stock, rotate, and merchandise product according to standards.
• Use technology to complete tasks accurately.
• Follow food safety, sanitation, and quality procedures.
• Work across departments including Meat, Seafood, Bakery, Deli, Produce and Grocery.
• Support other tasks as needed to keep operations running smoothly.
