Job summary

Locum Ready is seeking an experienced Healthcare Assistant for flexible treatment room sessions across primary care services in Alderley Edge. You will provide hands-on support to nursing and clinical teams, performing routine clinical tasks and helping to maintain smooth patient flow.

This role suits HCAs confident with observations, wound care, ECGs, and basic checks. DBS clearance is required; phlebotomy background desirable. Flexible weekday/evening/weekend shifts are available.

Qualifications

• Previous HCA experience in primary care or NHS settings.
• Confident performing routine clinical observations (BP, pulse, temperature).
• Phlebotomy experience desirable.
• Strong communication and patient interaction skills.
• Enhanced DBS clearance required.

Responsibilities

• Carrying out routine clinical observations including BP, pulse and temperature.
• Supporting treatment room procedures such as wound care and dressings.
• Performing ECGs and basic health checks.
• Assisting with phlebotomy if trained.
• Updating digital patient records in line with service protocols.
• Supporting clinicians with general duties where needed.
• Maintaining a clean and safe clinical environment.
