Job summary

Teleon Surgical B.V. in the Netherlands and Germany seeks an analytically strong finance professional to oversee accounting operations, deliver monthly, quarterly and annual closings, and advise management on financial strategy across borders.

You will work closely with four accounting colleagues in the Netherlands and Germany, ensure IFRS and local GAAP compliance, manage audits, and contribute to budgets and forecasts in a dynamic, international environment.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of relevant accounting/finance experience.
• Experience with consolidated reports and IFRS knowledge.
• Knowledge of Dutch GAAP and IFRS reporting standards.
• Strong analytical and communication skills.
• Fluent English; Dutch or German is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Own monthly, quarterly and annual closing processes.
• Prepare consolidated monthly, quarterly and annual reports.
• Ensure compliance with local GAAP and IFRS; manage tax filings.
• Monitor processes, verify data accuracy and strengthen internal controls.
• Verify monthly payroll and mitigate financial risks.
• Support sales, subsidiary and operations control; monitor performance.
• Assist with budget development and financial forecasting.
• Supervise international audits and liaise with auditors.

Location: Berlin (Germany) or Spankeren (the Neterlands)

Your role

You oversight the accounting operation, prepare financial analyses and reports, advise management on strategic financial issues and help manage risks. You will report directly to Finance Director and work closely with 4 accountant colleagues from the financial departments in the Netherlands and Germany.

Your main tasks are:

• Setting up and maintaining the accounting organisation, procedures and systems, and taking ownership of the monthly, quarterly and annual accounting closing process.
• Preparation of (consolidated) monthly, quarterly and annual reports.
• Ensuring compliance with local Gaap standard as well as IFRS, tax laws and regulations, including tax filings.
• Monitoring financial processes, verifying financial data accuracy and optimizing internal controls.
• Verifying monthly payroll and identifying and mitigating financial risks in business processes.
• Supporting sales and subsidiary control, and supply chain/operations control, to monitor performance.
• Assisting with the annual budget, developing financial forecasts and monitoring budgetary performance.
• Supervising (international) audits and liaising with external auditors and tax advisory.

What do bring?

• Completed college or university education in Finance, Business Economics, Accountancy or
• similar.
• At least 5 years of relevant work experience, preferably in a professional accounting firm or in finance within a manufacturing environment.
• Experience with consolidated reports and financial statements.
• Good knowledge of Dutch (or German) GAAP and IFRS reporting standards.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills and excellent communication skills.
• Creative, flexible and resilient, with a proactive, hands-on mentality and a strong sense of responsibility.
• Fluent command of English. Dutch or German is a plus.
• Knowledge and experience with Microsoft NAV / Business Central and Qlik.
