Job summary

Talentor International GmbH in Amsterdam is seeking a Financial Analyst to support financial planning, reporting and analysis across Supply Chain for an international FMCG organisation.

In this 3-month temporary role you will focus on inventory performance, logistics costs and demand & production planning, working closely with Supply Chain, Demand Planning and Factory Controlling teams to turn data into clear financial insights.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting or related field.
  • Around 2 years of experience in Financial Analysis or Cost Accounting, preferably within Supply Chain, Manufacturing or Logistics.
  • Experience within an FMCG environment is highly preferred.
  • Strong Excel and PowerPoint skills; SAP or another ERP system is an advantage.
  • Experience with Power BI and data analysis in Excel.
  • Ability to explain financial information clearly to different stakeholders.
  • Proactive, well organised and comfortable working in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

  • Demand & Production Analysis: Analyse monthly demand and production volumes together with the Demand team.
  • Logistics Cost Analysis & Forecasting: Analyse monthly logistics costs and review variances.
  • Inventory Performance: Monitor and analyse inventory performance against targets; prepare management reports.

Responsibilities Financial Analyst - Supply Chain (temp)

Demand & Production Analysis

  • Analyse monthly demand and production volumes together with the Demand team;
  • Support the official forecasting cycles by validating and consolidating volume data;
  • Follow up with factories to resolve discrepancies and ensure accurate reporting;
  • Prepare clear PowerPoint presentations explaining assumptions, key movements and variances;
  • Analyse actual versus forecast performance during the monthly closing process.

Logistics Cost Analysis & Forecasting

  • Analyse monthly logistics costs and review factory month-end closing results;
  • Explain variances between actuals and forecast and highlight key cost drivers;
  • Consolidate forecasting input from Supply Chain and factory teams;
  • Ensure logistics cost assumptions are complete and consistent throughout the forecasting process.

Inventory Performance

  • Monitor and analyse inventory performance against targets;
  • Prepare management reports and presentations on inventory developments;
  • Support budget holders with clear analyses to improve transparency and decision-making;
  • Contribute to budgeting, forecasting and other ad hoc finance activities.
