Job summary

Golden Agri-Resources (GAR) in Utrecht is seeking a finance professional to strengthen financial reporting, business partnering and risk management in a dynamic, international setting. You will interact with multiple teams and support governance and control processes.

Applicants should have 3+ years in finance or controlling, strong Excel skills, and familiarity with SAP/Power BI. English fluency is mandatory; Dutch is a plus in our Dutch operations.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Economics or related field.
• 3+ years of professional experience in Finance or Business Controlling.
• Experience in commodity trading is a strong advantage.
• Advanced Excel skills.
• Familiarity with SAP and Power BI preferred.
• Fluent in English; Dutch language is an advantage.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and submit monthly financial statements to the corporate accounting team.
• Calculate accruals, reserves and allocations.
• Coordinate responses to financial queries and audits.
• Carry out balance sheet reconciliations.
• Analyze financial data and provide recommendations and corrective actions.
• Support cross‑functional teams to optimize costs and profitability.

In this role, you’ll go beyond traditional accounting, contributing to financial reporting, business partnering, credit risk, working capital management and business control. Key Responsibilities

• Take part in preparation and submission of monthly financial statements to the corporate accounting team in Singapore
• Calculate and maintain accruals, reserves and allocations
• Co‑ordinate responses to financial queries from both internal and external parties. It includes statutory and internal audits support.
• Carry out balance sheet reconciliations.
• Analyze financial data and provide recommendations and corrective actions.
• Analyze differences between budgeted and actual results and advise variances to be included in the marketing performance.

Business Control

• Participate in the finance team’s business partnership with the commercial and logistics teams to optimize costs and profitability.
• Support working capital and cashflow management by creating close working relationships with the A/P and A/R team.
• Any ad‑hoc analysis & support that the business might require within your competences.

Risk Management and Control:

• Support the trade control activities such as commodity and FX risk management
• Help in deployment of corporate policies and ensuring compliance.
• Contributing to various improvement projects related to Financial and Management reporting, analysis of the business performance and risk management.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Economics or a related field.
• 3+ years of professional experience in Finance or Business Controlling.
• Experience within the commodity trading industry is considered a strong advantage.
• Advanced Excel skills.
• Familiarity with SAP and Power BI is preferred.
• Fluent in English, both written and spoken
• Fluent in Dutch is considered an advantage.
