Job summary

Danone is offering a Finance Process & Tools Intern position in Hoofddorp, Netherlands. You will support the Finance team by improving reporting processes, automating dashboards, and enhancing data quality to enable faster, data-driven decisions.

The role focuses on Power BI, Power Query and Excel, with exposure to business analytics, reporting automation, and stakeholder management. You will work 4–5 days per week for six months starting September/October 2026 in a hybrid setup.

Qualifications

• Enrolled as a Bachelor’s or Master’s student for the entire internship.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Fluent in English; able to communicate with technical and non-technical stakeholders.
• Excellent Excel skills; Power BI/Power Query experience a plus.
• Willing to work 4–5 days per week and start Sep/Oct 2026.

Short Intro and About the Job

As a Finance Process & Tools Intern, you will support the Finance team in improving reporting processes, enhancing data quality, and developing automated reporting solutions. You will work closely with finance controllers and business stakeholders to maintain and optimize reporting tools, helping the team make data-driven decisions more efficiently.

This internship offers a great opportunity to gain hands‑on experience in financial reporting, business intelligence tools, process automation, and stakeholder management within a dynamic business environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Maintain, update, and improve financial reporting tools, including Power BI, Excel, and Power Query.
• Develop and automate dashboards and reports to support finance controllers and business teams.
• Ensure accuracy, consistency, and reliability of financial data across reporting systems.
• Analyze existing reporting processes and identify opportunities for automation and process improvements.
• Collaborate with business stakeholders to understand reporting requirements and translate them into effective data solutions.
• Support end users by managing requests related to data extracts, trackers, and reporting tools.
• Troubleshoot reporting issues and provide timely support to stakeholders.
• Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives that increase efficiency and reduce manual work.

About You

Currently pursuing a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Finance, Business Analytics, Economics, Data Analytics, Information Management, or a related field.

Comfortable working with data and interested in financial reporting and process improvement.

Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

Good knowledge of Microsoft Excel; experience with Power BI and Power Query is a plus.

Interest in automation and digital tools.

Strong attention to detail and commitment to data accuracy.

Able to communicate effectively with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.

Proactive, eager to learn, and able to work independently as well as in a team environment.

Key requirements:

• Enrolled as a Bachelor’s or Master’s student for the entire duration of the internship.
• Resident of the Netherlands with a valid BSN number. Non-EU citizens must have a valid Dutch residency permit.
• For non-EU citizens, your university must sign a three-party agreement with Danone.
• Available to start in September/October 2026 for a minimum of 6 months, 4-5 days per week.
• Fluent in English (spoken and written);
• Able to work from our Hoofddorp office at least 2-3 days per week.
