Job summary

iBuyFlowers in the Netherlands is seeking a hands-on Finance Manager, Operations & Control, reporting to the CFO. You will own day-to-day finance operations, build processes, and implement AI-driven automation to scale the finance function for an international marketplace.

You will drive monthly closes, produce P&L, balance sheet, and cash flow reports, and coordinate Dutch VAT and cross-border accounting across Dutch BV and US LLC. The role blends hands-on accounting with strategic improvements.

Qualifications

Minimum five years of finance experience with hands-on accounting and control responsibility.
Degree in finance, accounting, business economics or related discipline (HBO or university).
Experience owning a monthly close, reconciliations and management reporting.
Experience budgeting, forecasts and cash-flow projections.
Experience implementing AI or automation in finance with measurable improvements.
Ability to validate automated outputs and maintain strong controls.
Strong Excel/Google Sheets skills; cloud accounting experience.
Professional fluency in English and clear communication to non-finance colleagues.

Responsibilities

Own day-to-day bookkeeping including invoices, expenses, payroll and bank transactions.
Manage monthly close and balance-sheet reconciliations with accurate revenue/ cost recognition.
Deliver timely P&L, cash-flow and KPI reporting with audit trails.
Lead finance improvement roadmap with CFO, focusing on AI and automation.
Coordinate Dutch VAT, payroll tax and cross-border compliance with external advisers.
