Job summary

Byont is a rapidly growing biogas producer with sites across the Netherlands, Belgium and Germany. We are looking for a Finance Manager based in Hengelo to combine strong financial oversight with a drive to improve processes and structures.

You will work closely with the CFO and play a key role in the post-acquisition integration of newly acquired businesses, helping to build a scalable finance function that can support Byont's growth and ambitions in the energy transition.

With multiple sites across the Netherlands, Belgium and Germany, we contribute to making the energy sector more sustainable by converting organic residual streams into renewable energy. To strengthen our team, we are looking for a Finance Manager based in Hengelo, the Netherlands.

Your Role

Byont is evolving rapidly. To support our continued growth, we are looking for a Finance Manager who combines strong financial oversight with a drive to improve processes and structures. You will not only ensure that the financial fundamentals are in place, but also help build a finance function that can scale alongside our ambitions.

You will work closely with the CFO and play an important role in the post-acquisition integration of newly acquired businesses.

Key responsibilities:

• Optimising and automating financial processes and helping to develop a scalable financial foundation that supports Byont's growth;
• Preparing management reports, financial analyses and actionable management insights;
• Contributing to the preparation of budgets, forecasts and cash flow projections;
• Acting as the main point of contact for external auditors and other external financial stakeholders;
• Supporting the CFO on financial and strategic matters;
• Leading the financial integration of newly acquired businesses.

What You Bring

The ideal candidate has built a solid foundation in external auditing before broadening their experience in a finance role within a corporate environment. You understand what it takes to ensure financial quality and control, while also looking ahead and supporting the organisation's continued growth.

Ideally, you bring:

• A completed university degree in Accounting, Business Economics, Finance or a related field;
• A completed Dutch Registered Accountant (RA) qualification, preferably with active RA registration, gained through experience as an external auditor at an accounting firm;
• Experience in a corporate finance function;
• Strong knowledge of financial reporting, accounting and internal controls;
• Experience in improving and automating financial processes and reporting;
• An interest in acquisitions, group structures and post-acquisition integration;
• Strong analytical skills and a keen eye for quality and detail;
• The ability to clearly communicate financial matters to non-financial stakeholders;
• A proactive, independent and pragmatic approach to work;
• Experience in an industrial or energy production environment is an advantage.
