Booking.com in Amsterdam is offering an Accounting Internship Programme to learn financial reporting, corporate tax, financial analysis, and business control. You will support daily operations across the Finance organization and participate in project work.

You will gain hands-on experience with month-end close, journal entries analysis, and process improvements, including AI-driven initiatives. Suitable for students in their 2nd/3rd/last year.

Competenze

• Enrolled in a Masters or Bachelor in Business, Finance, Accounting or related field.
• Advanced knowledge of Excel/Google Sheets and PowerPoint/Google Slides.
• Excellent communication skills; strong data-driven decision making mindset.
• Affinity with technology, in particular AI and business intelligence tooling is preferred.

About The Accounting Internship Programme

Move beyond compiling data and help tell the story behind the numbers. This internship offers the opportunity to learn about ways of working at Booking.com, apply the theory learnt from the books into real life work, strengthen analytical skills that drive business insights to drive actions & decision making as well as learning/improving key skills that are essential for Finance professionals.

A great opportunity to understand financial reporting, corporate tax, financial analysis, business control and financial forecasting of a market‑leader in the international travel space. You will also be part of and work on specific projects and support the daily operations of the different teams in the Finance organizations.

An ideal opportunity for someone with a solutionist attitude who is curious about learning and who wants to be part of a high performing and agile team, based in the modern, central Booking.com headquarters in the heart of Amsterdam.

As an Accounting Intern you will be responsible for:

• Assisting with day-to-day financial reporting and accounting operations, including analysing journal entries, and performing balance sheet reviews.
• Supporting the month-end close process, ensuring timely and accurate financial reporting.
• Collaborating with various finance teams (Corporate accounting, Tax accounting, Financial reporting, FP&A, Business Controlling) in order to analyze financial data and provide insights for process improvements.
• Conducting ad-hoc analysis and contributing to projects related to account reconciliations, efficiency improvements, and financial reporting enhancements.
• Part of accounting transformation projects such as process improvements and automation (e.g. Develop AI tools that performs an assessment of the risk & control environment for new product launches and support project delivery, implementing Gen AI workflows to daily activities uplifting and automating processes)

Bring your sense of adventure and the following:

• Enrolled in a Masters or Bachelor' degree in Business, Finance, Accounting or other related field;
• Advanced knowledge of Excel/Google Sheet, Powerpoint/Google-slide;
• Excellent communication skills;
• A critical mindset and a strong desire to aid in data-driven decision making;
• Affinity with technology, in particular AI and business intelligence tooling are highly preferred;
• Proactive Attitude: a team player and self-starter who also has the ability to work independently;
• Comfortable working in cross-functional teams and in a multicultural environment

The following are a plus:

• Foundational knowledge of financial reporting, financial accounting, business analysis, statistical modelling, data mining;
• Some experience with Financial Modeling, and data/process automation;

We are open for students who are in their 2nd/3rd/last year of their study to apply for our internship opportunity. For the students in their last year of study, we can support their graduation thesis during the internship (with alignments prior to the start of the internship).

In order to be eligible for this programme you need to:

• Be enrolled in a Dutch University in a Bachelor or a Master for the entire length of the internship
• Be able to commit to attending our in-person final interview day (Assessment Centre) on November 27th, 2026 in our Amsterdam HQ.
• Be available for a minimum 32hrs (to 40 hours per week) paid internship from February 1st 2027, till end of July 2027 (6 months).
• Be able to commute to our office in Amsterdam at least twice a week throughout the internship.
