Job summary

Search X Recruitment seeks a skilled service technician for on-site maintenance across the Netherlands. You will diagnose faults, repair equipment, replace parts, and ensure installations operate reliably at customer sites.

You will explain maintenance procedures to customers, keep the service van organized, and document activities in digital orders. Collaboration with the Coordinator and Team Leader is essential, with strict adherence to safety and quality rules.

Qualifications

• MBO level in installation technology or electrical engineering.
• Fluent Dutch and good English.
• VCA and NEN3140 certificates (or willingness to obtain).

Responsibilities

• Diagnose malfunctions and perform repairs on customer installations.
• Replace faulty parts and commission new or repaired systems.
• Keep the service van tidy and stocked for on-site missions.
• Explain usage and maintenance to customers on-site and, if needed, provide short trainings.
• Record all actions in digital service orders; coordinate with team members to schedule work.
• Comply with health, safety and environmental rules and continuously look for safer, smarter methods.

And what about my role?

You are the face of this industrial enterprise for customers. You jump in when something isn’t going quite right.

We are talking about malfunctions, maintenance or starting up a new installation, of course. You make diagnoses, repair, replace parts and ensure that every system works properly again. In doing so, you keep the service van tidy and well-stocked, because you know exactly what you need to be able to continue on location. During your work, you give customers explanations about the use and maintenance of their systems.

Yes, then you clearly explain what you are doing and why, so that they know exactly how to keep using the products properly. Sometimes you even give small training sessions or advice, at customers' locations or internally.

Fortunately, you don’t work alone, but often consult with the Coordinator and the Team Leader to coordinate diagnoses, discuss schedules and share experiences. Meanwhile, you ensure that everything you do is properly recorded in digital service orders. Safety and quality are always at the top, without a doubt. You strictly comply with safety and environmental rules, identify risks and intervene if something is not safe. You keep your workplace clean and orderly, and actively think along about how the work can be even smarter or safer. Shorter? You keep everything running, make customers happy and lift the service a step higher every day.

I want it, but can I do it?

We have no doubt about that! You have an MBO level, preferably in the direction of installation technology or electrical engineering. You know the basics of both worlds and know how to analyze and solve technical malfunctions. In addition, you know all the rules regarding Health & Safety (Arbo), environment and quality. And you have (or want to obtain) VCA and NEN3140 certificates.

If we ask in your group of friends who the right person is in stressful situations, most fingers will point to you. Moreover, you are there like a shot if something can be tackled positively, with a better plan already ready for tomorrow. You are handy, independent and have an eye for detail. You work precisely, test thoroughly and see immediately if something is not right. You speak and write good Dutch and English, so that you can also get along well with international customers. And not entirely unimportantly, you have a driver's license.

You need to be living in the Netherlands and be eligible to work in the Netherlands as well.

But what’s coming in?

Let's zoom in on your salary and conditions! The annual salary is between €45,000 and €58,000. In addition, you are allowed to work flexibly: your work, your rules, your perfect balance.
