Job summary

Marel is seeking a Field Service Engineer for Control Systems to service and optimize our machines at customer sites across Europe. The role blends hands-on mechanical, electrical, and control engineering with direct customer interaction on installation projects.

You will travel internationally (roughly 50–60%), troubleshoot complex electrical and controls issues on-site, and lead local teams in larger installations while keeping customers informed of progress.

Qualifications

• Degree in Mechatronics or Electrical Engineering or related discipline.
• Solid knowledge of mechanics with affinity for electrical systems, pneumatics, hydraulics and controls.
• Willing to travel internationally (~50–60%).

We are currently recruiting a Field Service Engineer Control Systems In this role, your primary responsibility is to Service and optimize our machines at our customers’ sites in Europe. You will also be involved in Installation Projects in this region. These highly mechatronic systems combine mechanics, pneumatics, hydraulics, electrical engineering and controls, making your role a unique blend of hands‑on technical work and customer interaction.

On a daily basis, you will:

• Troubleshoot complex electrical and controls-related issues on‑site.
• Lead and coordinate local employees in larger installation projects.
• Keep in touch with, and report progress to, the customer.
• Work with tension control, vacumsystems and rebuilt controlpanels.

You will be part of a team of experienced engineers who share knowledge and support each other, both on customer sites and from the office.

• Must have relevant EU travel and work documents.
• Are willing to travel internationally (~50–60%).
