Qualifications

• Experience as Enterprise Data Architect in a global environment.
• Expertise in Data Products, Data Contracts, MDM, Data Governance, Semantic Layers, Data Lineage.
• Experience with SAP BW (BW on HANA and/or BW/4HANA).
• Knowledge of Microsoft Fabric, Lakehouse architectures, and Data Mesh.

• Define enterprise data architecture roadmap.
• Establish standards for data products, contracts, master data, lineage, and semantic models.
• Drive scalable, governed architectures, applying Data Mesh where appropriate.
• Provide architectural leadership across SAP BW and cloud data platforms.
• Design integration patterns across cloud, hybrid, and on‑premise environments.
• Embed governance, security, compliance, and data quality into frameworks.
• Partner with AI and analytics teams to build trusted, AI‑ready data foundations.
• Create reference architectures, prototypes, and reusable design patterns.

Are you passionate about building the data foundations that power analytics, digital transformation, and AI? We're supporting a global organisation undergoing a major data modernisation journey and looking for an experienced Enterprise Data Architect to help shape its future-state data landscape.

In this role, you'll define enterprise data architecture standards, drive the evolution of modern data platforms, and ensure data can be trusted, governed, and consumed effectively across the business. You'll combine strategic leadership with hands‑on architecture work, collaborating closely with engineering, analytics, and business stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities

• Define and evolve the enterprise data architecture roadmap.
• Establish standards for data products, data contracts, master data, data lineage, and semantic models.
• Drive scalable and governed data architectures, including Data Mesh principles where appropriate.
• Provide architectural leadership across SAP BW and modern cloud data platforms.
• Design integration patterns across cloud, hybrid, and on‑premise environments.
• Embed governance, security, compliance, and data quality into architectural frameworks.
• Partner with AI and analytics teams to build trusted, AI‑ready data foundations.
• Create reference architectures, prototypes, and reusable design patterns.

What We're Looking For

• Proven experience as an Enterprise Data Architect in a global environment.
• Strong expertise in Data Products, Data Contracts, MDM, Data Governance, Semantic Layers, and Data Lineage.
• Experience with SAP BW (BW on HANA and/or BW/4HANA).
• Knowledge of modern data platforms such as Microsoft Fabric, Lakehouse architectures, and Data Mesh.
• Experience with SAP BDC and/or SAP Datasphere
• Ability to influence senior stakeholders and translate business needs into scalable architecture solutions.
• Hands‑on mindset with experience delivering architectural prototypes and reference implementations.
• Strong communication skills in English.

Nice to Have

• Experience supporting AI and machine learning initiatives.
• Exposure to hybrid cloud and sovereign cloud environments.
• Background in manufacturing, industrial, or high‑tech environments.
• TOGAF, DAMA-CDMP, IASA, ArchiMate, or similar architecture certifications.
