Job summary

The Netherlands Organisation for Applied Scientific Research (TNO) invites an Engineering student to join the SD lab for a graduation internship. You will help prepare, set up, and run tests on unique shock machines used to simulate UNDEX effects on naval vessels, with a focus on learning, safety, and hands-on experimentation.

Qualifications

• Technicus Engineering student with strong practical skills and attention to detail.
• Ability to work independently within a small team and contribute to hands‑on testing.

Responsibilities

• Assist with the preparation, setup and execution of tests in the SD lab.
• Maintain and operate the shock testing machines, including mechanical and hydraulic tasks.
• Potentially take the lead during a test and debrief the team on outcomes.
• Work closely with supervisor and colleagues; attend weekly progress meetings.
