TWD in Rotterdam seeks an Engineer to design unique structural and mechanical installation tools for on- and offshore projects. You translate client requirements into functional designs and collaborate with project members to deliver quality results.

You will sketch ideas, run calculations, perform load cases, 1D/2D FEM, and ensure on-time delivery while maintaining technical quality. Degree in Mechanical, Civil, or Aerospace preferred; teamwork and communication are essential.

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in a technical field (Mechanical, Civil or Aerospace).

Responsabilidades

• Sketch ideas and verify with calculations (free-body diagrams).
• Set up and execute detailed calculations and reports: load cases and Python with PyTWD, 1D/2D FEM.
• Maintain overview of the link between calculations and drawings.
• Safeguard technical quality and timely delivery of deliverables.
• Manage own deliverables to meet global project planning.

Foundations of Your Job

As an Engineer at TWD, you will be responsible for designing unique structural and mechanical installation tools for a wide range of on- and offshore construction projects. Your role involves translating client requests into functional designs and collaborating with other project members.

A glimpse of your responsibilities:

• Sketching ideas and verifying them with calculations (using free-body diagrams)

• Performing the technical set up and execution of detailed calculations and reports:

  • Load case determination

  • Hand calculations using Python (with our inhouse package PyTWD)

  • 1D/2D FEM

• Keeping overview of the link between calculations and drawings

• Safeguarding the technical quality and timely delivery of project deliverables

• Managing your own project deliverables to meet the global project planning
