Job summary

Jaz in the City Amsterdam is seeking an Engineer to keep its technical installations running smoothly. You will handle preventive and corrective maintenance, inspections, installations and technical improvements, working closely with the Technical Manager and the hotel team to resolve issues safely and efficiently.

You bring a technical education and 2–3 years of hands-on maintenance experience in hotels or similar environments, with practical knowledge of HVAC, electrical and plumbing systems,

Qualifications

• Technical education or relevant technical background.
• 2–3 years of experience in a technical, engineering or maintenance role.
• Knowledge of technical installations, maintenance and building-related systems.
• Hands-on experience with troubleshooting and resolving technical faults.
• Basic knowledge of HVAC, electrical, plumbing or other building installations.
• Hands-on, proactive and able to set the right priorities.
• Able to work independently and in a team.
• Service-minded attitude and awareness that technical support enhances guest experience.

Responsibilities

Jaz in the City Amsterdam is a hip haven where music, art, technology and hospitality come together. Located next to the Ziggo Dome, Johan Cruijff ArenA and AFAS Live, we are the place to be for concertgoers, sports fans, city explorers and everyone looking for an experience beyond the ordinary.

Our Technical Crew.

As our Engineer, you make sure the hotel’s technical installations and facilities keep running smoothly. From preventive and corrective maintenance to troubleshooting, inspections, installations and technical improvements – you are one of the key people keeping Jaz in great shape.

You work closely with the Technical Manager and the wider hotel team to identify issues, solve technical problems and make sure maintenance is carried out safely, efficiently and to a high standard.

• have a technical education or relevant technical background;


• have at least 2–3 years of experience in a technical, engineering or maintenance role, preferably within a hotel, building or comparable environment;


• have knowledge of technical installations, maintenance and building-related systems;


• have practical experience with troubleshooting and resolving technical faults;


• have basic knowledge of HVAC, electrical, plumbing and/or other building installations;


• experience with complex climate and HVAC installations is a big plus;


• are hands-on, proactive and able to set the right priorities;


• can work independently but also enjoy being part of a technical team;


• have a service-minded attitude and understand that technical support directly contributes to the guest experience;


• are comfortable working with internal departments, suppliers, contractors and external partners;


• are available fulltime
