Job summary

Maersk zoekt een ervaren Empty Handler Driver (Containerheftruckchauffeur) voor het verplaatsen van lege containers op ons depot. Je werkt met aandacht voor veiligheid en efficiency binnen een dynamische logistieke omgeving.

Verantwoordelijkheden omvatten bediening van ECH, inspectie van containers en samenwerking met het team om processen soepel te laten verlopen. Vereiste: beheersing van Engels of Nederlands en beschikbaarheid voor twee ploegen.

Qualifications

• Geen minimale opleiding vereist.
• Goede beheersing van Engels of Nederlands.

Responsibilities

• Bedienen van de ECH voor laden, lossen en transporteren van lege containers.
• Toezicht houden op en onderhoud plegen van de apparatuur voor veilige werking.
• Containers controleren op schade, reinheid en labeling.
• Afstemmen met teamleden om containerbewegingen te prioriteren.
• Nauwkeurig werken met een tablet.
• Ruimte efficiënt stapelen en organiseren.

What are you going to do?

As an Empty Handler Driver(Containerheftruck chauffeurs), you are responsible for transporting empty containers within our depot and assisting with loading and unloading. You will ensure that everything runs smoothly and safely, with a focus on both procedures and teamwork.

Your responsibilities:

• Operate the ECH for loading, unloading, and transporting empty containers.
• Monitor and maintain equipment for safe operation.
• Inspect containers for damage, cleanliness, and labeling.
• Coordinating with team members to prioritize container movements.
• Work accurately using a tablet.
• Optimize space by efficiently stacking containers.
• Report malfunctions and safety issues.

What do we offer?

• Salary from €18,18 gross per hour without experience, which can increase to €20,65 gross per hour with experience;
• 14% surcharge for every hour worked;
• €0,23 per km mileage allowance;
• Two-shift system, Monday through Friday (5:45 AM - 2:00 PM / 1:45 PM - 10:00 PM);
• 8,33% holiday allowance and 25 vacation days (full-time);

What do we ask?

• Experience operating container handling equipment or similar machinery is required;
• Thorough knowledge of container handling procedures and safety protocols;
• Good knowledge of English or Dutch;
• Physically capable of performing heavy work and working outdoors;
• Attention to detail and a strong focus on safety;
• VCA Basic certification or willingness to obtain one;
• Willingness to obtain VOG is required.

• Own transport (car) is required
