Job summary

Vanderlande in the Netherlands seeks a Tax & Compliance Specialist to manage a portfolio of entities across multiple EMEA countries. You will handle month-end closings, payroll accounting, VAT, CIT and statutory compliance, coordinating with Finance, Payroll, Tax and external auditors.

Based primarily in the Netherlands, the role offers a dynamic mix of accounting and tax work, with opportunities to grow in an international finance organization and contribute to process improvements.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of relevant experience in accounting, tax, audit or financial reporting.
• Experience with month-end closing activities and balance sheet reconciliations.
• Solid understanding of financial accounting principles and IFRS.
• Experience with VAT and tax-related processes is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Execute month-end, quarter-end and year-end closing activities.
• Prepare and review payroll accounting entries and balance sheet reconciliations.
• Perform analytical reviews and investigate discrepancies.
• Support VAT, Corporate Income Tax and other tax compliance activities.
• Prepare tax calculations, filings and supporting documentation.
• Liaise with tax authorities, external advisors and auditors.
• Support statutory audits and coordinate audit requests.
• Monitor deadlines and ensure compliance requirements are met.
• Act as a trusted point of contact for assigned entities and stakeholders.
• Identify opportunities to improve and simplify processes.
