Job summary

Airwallex in Amsterdam is seeking a Manager, FCC Monitoring & Testing, EMEA to scale the company’s global financial crime monitoring and testing framework across production environments. You will independently validate AML, sanctions, and KYC/KYB controls, establish KPIs, and translate findings into actionable remediation with Product, Engineering and regional leads.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Law, Information Systems, Business Administration, or related field.
• CAMS certification or ICA International Diploma in Governance, Risk, and Compliance (or equivalent).
• 7+ years in FCC quality assurance, compliance monitoring, internal audit, or similar in fintech/payments.
• Strong knowledge of financial crime controls across transaction monitoring, sanctions/PEP screening, customer due diligence, and digital KYC/KYB.
• Proven mastery of risk-based testing methodologies, including scoping, sampling, design and operating effectiveness assessments, issue writing, and remediation validation.
• High ownership with excellent written communication and stakeholder management to challenge partners and drive accountability.

Responsibilities

• Contribute to strategic development, execution, and evolution of Airwallex’s Global FCC Monitoring & Testing Programme with risk-based testing methodologies.
• Design testing frameworks to validate core compliance controls across onboarding, periodic reviews, sanctions screening, transaction monitoring, and reporting.
• Oversee ongoing FCC monitoring for EMEA, including KPIs and operating effectiveness metrics.
• Advance transition to continuous, data-enabled assurance using data analytics, logs, and automated scripts to evaluate control performance.
• Oversee validation of system-encoded controls, including thresholds, screening logic, and risk-rating models for dana.
• Translate testing outcomes into reporting for leadership and governance, tracking remediation of deficiencies.
• Represent FCC monitoring during regulatory examinations, audits, and banking partner reviews with defensible methodologies.
