Job description

Bright minds build best. Lead a high-performing technical team – and make sure our radar systems perform perfectly when it counts.

As our Team Lead, you manage a dedicated technical sub-team (4 FTE) while remaining hands‑on with our day‑to‑day project execution. You bridge technical leadership with people management – defining clear goals, allocating resources efficiently, and coaching your crew to reach their full potential. Reporting directly to the Department Head, you collaborate closely with Production, Engineering, and Planning to ensure seamless project delivery and drive continuous operational improvements.

What You’ll Do
  • Technical leadership and direction: Define clear technical direction, establish solid team standards, and set up clear milestones. Communicate objectives and project requirements transparently, running regular reviews with your crew to track progress. Keep your team aligned with industry best practices and emerging high‑tech radar trends.
  • Support the technicians with their daily work by taking up a part of the work load: soldering, assembling, testing and calibrating electronic sub‑assemblies for the radar systems.
  • Resource allocation and scheduling: Allocate technical resources efficiently to secure successful project delivery every time. Organise and monitor work schedules, handle timesheet approvals, and manage short‑term absences or holiday leave requests. Keep project assignments balanced so your team operates smoothly without losing momentum.
  • Team coaching and development: Coach and train your team members to identify technical skill gaps and new learning opportunities. Provide regular, constructive, and timely performance feedback to support individual growth and long‑term career potential. Participate actively in mid‑year and end‑year performance reviews led by the Department Head.
  • Process optimisation and compliance: Ensure daily operations strictly adhere to our agreed production processes and quality standards. Identify areas for operational improvement, address performance issues proactively, and lead internal check‑ins. Keep our workflows sharp, efficient, and completely free of unnecessary corporate bottlenecks.
What You Bring
  • MBO4 (or work experience equivalent) in Electronics, Mechatronics, or a related high‑tech technical field.
  • 3+ years of experience in high‑tech manufacturing, assembly, or engineering environments.
  • Proven experience leading, coaching, or managing a technical sub‑team of 2 to 8 direct reports.
  • Strong domain expertise with hands‑on experience in electronics, assembly, or technical project execution.
  • Familiarity with enterprise management tools like HiBob and Odoo for scheduling and hours tracking.
  • Excellent communication skills with a natural ability to deliver constructive feedback and motivate colleagues.
  • A proactive, down‑to‑earth mindset focused on continuous improvement and collaborative problem‑solving.
  • Fluent English, both spoken and written.

N.B. Don’t worry if you don’t tick every box. Our mission is a journey, and there’s plenty to learn along the way. If most of this fits, we’d love to hear from you.

Please note: a Certificate of Conduct (VOG) and a background check are part of our screening process. We appreciate your understanding.
