Job description

Acciona, in its Industrial business line, requires the addition of a Electrical Site Engineer for its projects in the Netherlands.

Mission: The Site Engineer will be mainly oriented to the more technical functions of the Project in relation to each of the engineering disciplines that form it, in particular, civil, primary, secondary, tertiary, mechanical, panels, telecommunications and testing & commissioning.

Coordinate, schedule and implement all the engineering activities of the project within according to the established standards and the TenneT procedures in order to optimize assigned projects’ profitability, complying with deadlines and quality standars.

Reporting directly to the Project Manager, according to the Internal Organization established for the project. He/she will be located according to the Project needs and as indicated by the Project Manager, being the work center the offices of the Project Site.

Functions

• Responsible for the coordination of the Engineering Subcontractor activities for the project.
• Responsible for the supervision of all the documents received from the engineering subcontractors.
• Verify the engineering progress and participate in the monthly reports, both internally and for the Client.
• Assist and support the Project Manager and the Lead Engineer in the monthly follow‑up meetings with the Client for all issues related to the engineering.
• Responsible for Engineering Control and reporting to the Project Manager and the Lead Engineer about the monthly progress for engineering, reporting of Project Schedule compliance and deviations over Project Schedule.
• Responsible for preparing and reporting to the Project Manager and the Lead Engineer for approval forecasts of engineering production, schedule and costs.
• Detect and inform the Project Manager and the Lead Engineer of risks in the Project.
• Responsible for the analysis, implementation and monitoring of possible mitigation or elimination measures related to the engineering.
• Responsible for preparing and keeping the Project Schedule for engineering up to date.
• Support construction team for every doubt that could raise related to the engineering documents received.
• Support testing and commissioning team for every doubt that could raise related to the engineering documents received.
• Support procurement department for verification of the material BoQs, equipment and materials are purchased on the Project with their proper specifications.
• Ensure coordination between the different departments and the Engineering subcontractor to guarantee in time and quality, the good progress of the project.
• Collaborate in the coordination between the Project team at Headquarters and the Project team at the Site.
• Support with the required engineering in the Legalization of the substation for the different phases of the Project, from the energization of the project systems to the synchronization with the grid and its subsequent commercial operation.
• Ensure the control of the distribution and archiving of the engineering documentation generated in the Project.
• With the Project Manager and the Lead Engineer, ensure compliance with the technical requirements.
• With the supervision of the Project Manager and the Lead Engineer, ensure that the engineering is developed and carried out in accordance with the Client's requirements and the terms and conditions of the Contract.
• Participate in the revisions of the engineering documents for the As‑Built documents generation from the real activities executed on the site.
• In conjunction with the Project Manager and the Lead Engineer, establish and coordinate the engineering resources necessary for the study and the execution of the Project, in accordance with the terms and conditions of the Contract.
• In conjunction with the Project Manager and the Lead Engineer, establish and ensure compliance with the engineering activities in the Project Schedule.

Requirements

Academic Background

• Technical or Higher Engineering Degree

Languages and Required Level

• High level of English required.
• Knowledge of Spanish and Dutch will be valued.

Additional Knowledge

• A minimum of 5 years of experience as an Electrical Engineer in EPC transmission & distribution projects on international projects is required.
• Knowledge of Microsoft Office tools is required, and familiarity with CAD will be valued.
