Job summary

Matco International is seeking an Electrical Engineer to carry out electrical assembly and installation of logistics systems, machines, or components from drawings or available information.

You will be responsible for wiring, commissioning, and quality checks, with on-site assembly and customer site work as part of a motivated team. A forklift certificate and BE driving licence are preferred or must be obtained.

Qualifications

• Electrical knowledge and experience equivalent to VMBO 4 or MBO 3.
• Able to read technical drawings (e.g. E-plan).
• Good command of Dutch and/or English; other languages a bonus.

Responsibilities

• Independently assemble or install logistics systems, machines or parts per drawings or information, on time and within budget.
• Assemble and/or commission systems or machines on customer sites.
• Connect main control cabinet and assist with I/O testing/commissioning.
• Perform quality checks on own and others' work per work orders.
• Operate lifting and transport equipment ( forklift with certificate).
• Supervise safety at own and others' workplaces and report progress to foreman.
• Use tools and consumables correctly and report completed work on time.
• Perform on-site assembly work as required.

Job description

As an Electrical Engineer, you will be responsible for carrying out the electrical assembly and/or installation of logistics systems, technical installations, machines or components based on supplied drawings or available information.

The following tasks belong to your range of duties:

• Independently carrying out the electrical assembly | installation of logistics systems, technical installations, machines or parts on the basis of supplied drawings or available information, realising the work within the established planning and within the established budget.
• Assembling and (co-)commissioning logistics systems or machines on customer sites.
• Connecting the (main) control cabinet.
• Assisting with I/O testing/commissioning.
• Carrying out quality checks of both own and others' work according to the work order.
• Operating lifting and transport equipment (including forklift truck - only with certificate).
• Supervising safety in (of) own workplace as well as other people’s workplace.
• Correct use of tools, machines, aids and consumables.
• Reporting completed work to foreman and planner on time.
• Performing assembly work on site.

Your responsibilities include:

• Checking parts and constructions to be assembled for quality.
• Correct application of quality, safety and environmental regulations and holding others accountable.
• Suggesting and discussing improvements with regard to production.

You possess:

• You have electrical knowledge and experience equivalent to VMBO 4 | MBO 3.
• Reading technical drawings is no problem for you (e.g. E-plan).
• You have a good command of Dutch and/or English. Other languages are a bonus.
• You have a forklift truck and VCA certificate or are willing to obtain these.
• You also have a BE driving licence.
