Job summary

Van Stratum Horst is seeking an Electrical Engineer / Project Planner in the Netherlands to bridge concept, design, and execution. You will develop electrical schematics from initial ideas through final design, prepare wiring work, and support workshop readiness.

You will program generator control systems, set transformer protection, and ensure installations meet plan and function in practice, while handling mechanical drafting tasks and maintaining documentation.

Qualifications

• At least 5 years of relevant work experience.
• Experience with creating electrical schematics.
• Structured and detail-oriented way of working.
• Driven and proactive, with a collaborative mindset.
• Works well in a team, but can also operate independently when needed.
• Building high-quality engineering together.

Responsibilities

• Develop electrical schematics from idea to final design, including specifications and technical calculations.
• Prepare wiring work, repairs, and modifications to control systems; order materials and create work instructions.
• Support wiring work during execution and verify conformance to plan; program generator control systems and set transformer protection.
• Check complete installation before deployment and ensure it works in practice, not just on paper.
• Take on small mechanical drafting tasks; update drawings and support production and assembly; maintain machine documentation and commissioning/inspection records.
