Job summary

First-Case BV in Groningen is seeking an Electrical Engineer Data Center to maintain critical electrical installations in the Eemshaven, including UPS, standby generators, and distribution boards. You perform preventive maintenance, inspections, measurements, fault resolution and meticulous documentation.

You join fulltime staff (38 hours/week), based in Groningen, with an entry salary of €3,300 monthly rising to €4,100, and a path to Senior Data Center Engineer at higher pay.

Qualifications

• MBO 3/4 Electrical Engineering or equivalent experience.
• Solid experience as an electrical engineer in commercial/industrial buildings.
• Knowledge of UPS systems, distribution boards, backup power and instrumentation.

Responsibilities

• Perform preventive maintenance on critical electrical installations.
• Inspect installations, take measurements and resolve faults.
• Record all actions and maintain documentation for the site.

Job description

The largest data centers in the Netherlands are in the Eemshaven. You keep the power they rely on running.

As an Electrical Engineer Data Center you work on the critical electrical installations in the Eemshaven: UPS systems, standby generators, distribution boards and the measurement and control equipment that goes with them. You carry out preventive maintenance, inspect installations, take measurements, resolve faults and record every action, because in these buildings the documentation weighs as much as the work. You are there when the manufacturer commissions new systems, so you see up close how a site is built up. If you come from commercial and industrial buildings and UPS is new to you, you learn those systems here on the installation itself. The work asks for precision and reliability: in these buildings the power must never fail.

The essentials:

Salary €3.300 to €4.100 per month

• 38 hours per week

• Based in Groningen.

In this role you earn €3.300 at entry, rising to €4.100 as an experienced engineer. Growing on to Senior can later reach €4.900, but you are applying now for the Data Center Engineer role.

What You Bring

• MBO 3 or 4 Electrical Engineering, or equivalent experience
• Solid experience as an electrical engineer in commercial and industrial buildings, for example offices, healthcare, industry or data centers
• Knowledge of UPS systems, distribution boards, backup power and instrumentation, extensive experience with them is a strong plus
• NEN 3140 VP and VCA, or the willingness to obtain them
• Driver's license B; Dutch and English at working level
