Nebius is hiring an Electrical Design Engineer to support design, review, and development of electrical infrastructure for data centers. You will work on low-, medium-, and high-voltage systems and coordinate with partners to meet regulatory and operating requirements.

This role requires on-site presence at data centers. You should have 3+ years in electrical systems for large-scale data centers, strong knowledge of UPS, generators, and power distribution, and ideally a PE license or plan to

The role

As an Electrical Design Engineer, you'll support the design, review, and development of critical electrical infrastructure, including low-, medium-, and high-voltage systems. This role is ideal for someone with hands-on data center design experience who can drive technical decisions, coordinate with partners, and ensure designs meet operational and regulatory requirements.

Travel: This position will require on-site presence at data centers.

Your responsibilities will include:

• Review electrical design packages for data center projects, including internal concepts and third-party partner designs.
• Support development of electrical design concepts for high-density data center environments.
• Evaluate UPS, LV, MV, and HV electrical infrastructure.
• Review cable distribution, electrical pathways, and design coordination with data hall layouts.
• Partner with mechanical, construction, commissioning, and operations stakeholders to ensure designs are buildable, maintainable, and aligned with business needs.
• Assess designs for concurrently maintainable data center operations and high power-density environments.
• Help identify alternative design solutions, product options, and technical tradeoffs.

We expect you to have:

• 3+ years of experience with electrical systems in large-scale data centers or other critical infrastructure environments.
• Professional Engineering (PE) license or ability to obtain one within 2 years.
• Experience designing, operating, commissioning, or maintaining electrical distribution systems.
• Strong knowledge of UPS systems, generators, switchgear, transformers, and power distribution equipment.
• Understanding of medium- and high-voltage electrical systems and protection schemes.
• Experience leading engineering teams and driving technical projects in complex environments.
• Ability to manage internal stakeholders, consultants, vendors, and outsourced project teams.
• Knowledge of electrical codes and standards, including NFPA 70 and UL requirements.
• Experience with power system analysis tools such as SKM, ETAP, or Cymcap.
• Ability to interpret construction drawings, support commissioning activities, and collaborate across multidisciplinary teams.

It will be an added bonus if you have:

• Experience with neocloud, GPU, or AI infrastructure data centers.
• Experience at hyperscalers, colocation providers, or mission-critical engineering environments.
• Familiarity with high-density rack environments.
• Experience supporting design reviews through commissioning or operational turnover.

Compensation

We offer competitive salaries ranging from $115K to $225K OTE, which includes base salary and bonus.

Pay Transparency

We offer competitive compensation and benefits packages. Actual compensation will be determined based on job-related factors, including experience, skills, qualifications, the level at which the candidate is hired, and geographic location, consistent with applicable law.

$115,000 — $225,000 USD
