Job Description

Regions Hospital is seeking an experienced credentialing specialist with strong organizational, interpersonal, verbal and written skills to join our Medical Staff Services department. The senior medical staff credentialing specialist position is responsible for administrative leadership of medical staff services at Regions Hospital. This is done by managing internal workflow, creating and driving timelines, coordinating work between the medical staff and hospital leadership, governing committees, board members, and system wide departments/services. This person will apply their leadership skills and operational expertise to assure all activities comply with legal and regulatory requirements.

Work Schedule:

Monday- Friday 7am - 3:30pm

Required Qualifications:

  • Associate degree or 5 or more years of experience in healthcare or business
  • 3-5 years of credentialing and privileging experience.
  • 3-5 years of experience in development of medical staff policies, delineation of privileges (DOP) procedures and forms, based on research and best practices.
  • 3-5 years of experience working collaboratively with physicians and medical staff leaders.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Credentialing and privileging of licensed independent practitioners; medical staff office; DOP development and maintenance
  • CPCS
