Job summary

Air Products Inc. in Rotterdam is seeking an E&I Technician to maintain electrical and instrumentation equipment across our production facilities. You will join a close-knit maintenance team where safety, reliability and teamwork are central to daily operations.

We value hands-on skills, a proactive mindset and strong communication in Dutch and English. You will work on a wide range of equipment, support shutdowns, and contribute to continuous improvement while ensuring safe and compliant

Qualifications

• MBO Level 4 working and thinking level (Electrical/Instrumentation).
• Experience in electrical and/or instrumentation maintenance within an industrial environment.
• The ability to troubleshoot technical issues and work in a structured and safe manner.
• A practical, hands-on mindset with a willingness to learn.
• A team-oriented attitude and clear interpersonal skills.
• A strong focus on safety, quality and reliability.
• Good knowledge of Dutch (preferably) and English.

Responsibilities

• Carry out preventive and corrective maintenance on electrical and instrumentation equipment.
• Diagnose faults, determine root causes and implement sustainable solutions.
• Prepare, plan and complete maintenance activities safely and efficiently.
• Support plant shutdowns and turnaround activities.
• Work with permit-to-work systems and perform task-specific risk assessments.
• Coordinate and supervise contractors when required.
• Maintain accurate maintenance records, technical documentation and equipment data.
• Help ensure spare parts and maintenance stock are handled effectively.
• Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives that increase plant reliability and safety.
• Work closely with Operations, Maintenance and Engineering colleagues to solve technical challenges.
• Support the maintenance and compliance of E&I-related safety systems.

Additional Information

• Participation in the breakdown service/on-call rota (approximately once every 6–7 weeks).
• Occasional overtime may be required.
• Occasional travel to other Air Products locations in Netherlands/ Europe.
• Some maintenance activities may require working at heights or in hard-to-reach areas.
