Job summary

The Chemours Company in Dordrecht is seeking an experienced Lead E&I Engineer to provide technical leadership within our Capital Projects team. You will operate at the intersection of production, project management, maintenance, and external engineering partners, determining what needs to be done and how to execute safely.

You will translate plant E&I needs into clear requirements, review partner designs, and guide projects from business case to funding, ensuring compliance with international

Qualifications

  • Masters degree in Electrical Engineering or equivalent.
  • At least 5–10 years experience in chemicals, petrochemicals, or heavy industry.
  • Strong understanding of low‑voltage systems, instrumentation, and automation.
  • Ability to critically review technical designs and challenge decisions constructively.
  • Strong communication skills; able to influence without formal authority.

Responsibilities

  • Translate plant E&I needs into clear technical requirements for engineering partners.
  • Review designs, specifications, calculations, and proposals (without producing drawings yourself).
  • Advise throughout all project phases—from business case to full funding.
  • Ensure compliance with Chemours standards and international codes.
  • Support installation, commissioning, and start‑up of new systems.
  • Contribute to maintenance projects and turnarounds with an E&I scope.
  • Collaborate with operations and maintenance to identify and prioritize upgrade needs.
  • Communicate effectively across all levels—from operators to lead engineers.

Lead E&I Engineer
Job Summary

As the E&I Engineering Lead, you provide technical leadership within our Capital Projects organization.

Required Qualifications

Preferred Qualifications

  • Dutch language skills (or willingness to learn).
