Job summary

Gerwil-Sliedredge is seeking an experienced Pipe Operator to join a hopper dredger working on international projects. The role emphasizes safe operation of pipelines, valves, and dredging systems, in close collaboration with the dredge master and deck crew.

The ideal candidate has proven Pipe Operator experience, understands dredging systems, and can work well under pressure in international rotations. English proficiency is required and readiness to travel for rotations is expected.

Qualifications

• Proven experience as Pipe Operator or in a similar dredging-related role.
• Experience on hopper dredgers is a strong advantage.
• Good understanding of dredging systems and pipe installations.
• Basic technical and mechanical skills.
• Ability to work safely under pressure and in a team.
• Good command of the English language.

Responsibilities

• Operating and monitoring dredging pipelines, valves and related equipment
• Assisting in loading, unloading and dredging operations
• Monitoring pressures, flow rates and wear of pipes and fittings
• Identifying technical issues and reporting abnormalities
• Supporting maintenance and repair of dredging equipment
• Ensuring all operations are carried out according to safety procedures and company standards
