Job summary

Stichting Dunamare Onderwijs Groep zoekt een enthousiaste wiskunde docent voor 0,5–0,6 fte in Hoofddorp. Je geeft wiskunde in Engels aan mavo/havo/vwo-leerlingen binnen een tweetalig programma en mogelijk IB-onderwijs op OIA.

Je maakt deel uit van een ondersteunende wiskundeafdeling en krijgt de vrijheid om lessen vorm te geven. Wij zoeken iemand met een relevante wiskunde-onderwijsbevoegdheid, uitstekende Engels en plezier in samenwerken.

Qualifications

• U beschikt over een relevante onderwijsbevoegdheid voor wiskunde of werkt hier naar toe.
• Goede beheersing van de Engelse taal.
• U kunt een veilige, gestructureerde en stimulerende leeromgeving creëren.
• U herkent verschillen tussen leerlingen en past lesniveau aan.
• U werkt graag samen met collega's en draagt bij aan de onderwijsontwikkeling.
• U bent flexibel, betrokken en bereid te werken in een internationaal milieu.

Responsibilities

• Wiskunde lesgeven aan leerlingen in de onderbouw van havo/vwo binnen ons tweetalig programma.
• Lesgeven in Engels en mogelijk lessen geven op de Optimist International Academy (OIA) volgens IB MYP.
• Samenwerken in de wiskundedienst en eigen lessen vormgeven.
• Bijdragen aan een stimulerende en veilige leeromgeving voor leerlingen.

What will you do?

Due to maternity leave, we are looking for an enthusiastic Mathematics teacher for 0.5–0.6 FTE.

You will teach Mathematics to students in the lower years of havo and vwo within our bilingual programme. This means that all your lessons will be taught in English. You know how to explain mathematical concepts in a clear and engaging way and help students approach Mathematics with confidence.

Our school also houses an international secondary school. There may therefore be an opportunity to teach a number of lessons at the Optimist International Academy (OIA). These lessons follow the IB Middle Years Programme and are also taught in English

You will join a supportive Mathematics department where colleagues work together, share experiences and support one another. At the same time, you will have the freedom to shape your lessons in your own way.

Who are you?

You are an enthusiastic teacher who enjoys working with young people and knows how to engage students in Mathematics. You enjoy working in an international and bilingual environment and feel confident teaching your subject in English.

• you hold a relevant teaching qualification in Mathematics or are currently working towards one;
• you have a good command of English;
• you know how to create a safe, structured and stimulating learning environment;
• you recognise differences between students and know how to challenge them at an appropriate level;

• you are flexible, committed and open to working in an international environment.

Wat krijg je van ons terug?

• This position is classified in salary scale LB. Your gross monthly salary will be between €3,622.00 and €5,520.00, based on full-time employment. Your exact salary will be determined based on your level of education and relevant work experience.
• You will receive a fixed-term contract for 0,5 - 0,6 FTE.
• Your holidays coincide with the school holidays, so you will be off when the students are on holiday. Based on full-time employment, you are entitled to 60 days of annual leave per year. In addition, you will receive an 8% holiday allowance and an end-of-year bonus (13th month) of 8.33%.
• An excellent pension scheme! Dunamare Education covers 70% of the contributions to the ABP pension scheme.
• You will receive a fixed annual expense allowance of €75 (paid once a year in November, pro rata based on your FTE).
