Job summary

Mead Johnson Nijmegen is seeking a Distribution Planner to coordinate international export shipments from our Nijmegen site. You will manage export documentation, customs compliance, and collaborate with service providers to ensure on-time delivery.

The role emphasizes accuracy, cross-functional coordination, and improving export processes within a dynamic global supply chain.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent in Logistics, SCM or related field.
• Up to 2 years of experience in logistics or international supply chain.
• Experience in food/pharma/manufacturing environments is a plus.
• Knowledge of export processes and Incoterms.
• Strong administrative accuracy and attention to detail.
• Experience with SAP and data analysis.
• Excellent English and Dutch communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate international export shipments by ocean, air and rail.
• Process outbound and inventory transactions in SAP and related systems.
• Prepare export documentation, customs declarations and health certificates.
• Act as a point of contact for customs, regulatory authorities.
• Resolve export and customs exceptions to prevent disruptions in the supply chain.
• Collaborate with freight forwarders, 3PLs and internal stakeholders.
• Support sample shipments to markets outside the European Union.
• Monitor SAP and EDI exceptions and ensure timely resolution.
• Maintain work instructions and support continuous improvement initiatives.

What will you do?

As Distribution Planner, you play a vital role in our international supply chain. You are responsible for coordinating export shipments, managing export documentation and ensuring compliance with customs and regulatory requirements. Working closely with customer service teams, logistics providers, warehouses and government authorities, you help guarantee a seamless and reliable export process from our Nijmegen manufacturing site.

• Coordinating international export shipments by ocean, air and rail.
• Processing outbound and inventory transactions accurately within SAP and related systems.
• Preparing and managing export documentation, customs declarations and health certificates.
• Acting as a key point of contact for Customs, NVWA/COKZ and other regulatory authorities.
• Resolving export and customs exceptions to prevent disruptions in the supply chain.
• Working closely with freight forwarders, 3PL providers and internal stakeholders to ensure smooth execution of shipments.
• Supporting sample shipments to markets outside the European Union.
• Monitoring exceptions in SAP and EDI processes and ensuring timely resolution.
• Maintaining work instructions and supporting continuous improvement initiatives within the logistics organization.

You bring:

• A Bachelor's degree, vocational degree, or equivalent experience in Logistics, Supply Chain Management or a related field.
• Up to 2 years of experience in logistics, export operations or international supply chain management.
• Experience within food, pharmaceutical, healthcare or manufacturing environments is an advantage.
• Knowledge of export processes, logistics services and international trade terms (Incoterms).
• Strong administrative accuracy and attention to detail.
• Experience with ERP systems, preferably SAP.
• Advanced Excel skills and affinity with data analysis.
• Excellent communication skills in English and Dutch.
• A proactive and solution-oriented mindset.
• The ability to perform well in a fast-changing international logistics environment.
