Job summary

Picnic seeks a Distribution Centre Lead to drive a high-performance, customer-first culture across our Dutch network. You will own site performance in safety, quality and cost while coaching a multi-shift team.

Location flexibility is offered across the Netherlands, with sites including Geldermalsen, Utrecht, Eindhoven, Heerenveen, Zwolle and Nijmegen. You will lead HR, develop leaders and ensure Lean-based operational standards in a fast-paced scale-up environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in relevant field.
• 6+ years operations experience with large multi-shift teams.
• Familiar with fast-paced environments.
• Proven ability to lead, coach, and build high-performing teams.
• Experience driving Lean and continuous improvement initiatives.
• Proven ability to deliver results through KPIs and operational standards.
• Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills, managing critical incidents.
• Fluent in English and Dutch.

Responsibilities

• Lead site performance across safety, quality, and cost with KPI ownership.
• Build a high-performance culture where teams are supported, motivated, and accountable.
• Coach Operations Managers and Supervisors to strengthen leadership quality.
• Drive metrics on retention, perfect deliveries, delivery capacity, UPH, cost and standards.
• Manage incidents, planning, escalations, and continuity of operations.
• Lead HR and external affairs as primary contact for the DC People Partner and external stakeholders.
