Here, you will be part of a high-performing, inclusive culture that values fresh thinking and collaboration. You'll have the room to grow, the flexibility to balance life with work, and the opportunity to better health worldwide, together.

Our Team, Your Impact

The Director, Portfolio Management, Biosimilars will play a critical leadership role in shaping and executing the company’s biosimilar portfolio from development and portfolio evaluation through launch, commercialization, and lifecycle management.

The primary responsibility of this role is to deliver commercially ready biosimilars to the market on time while ensuring right supply. They will serve as a key link between Commercial, Business Development, R&D, Regulatory, Finance, Supply Chain, Manufacturing/Technical Operations, and Marketing.

This is a highly cross-functional role requiring strong strategic thinking, financial and analytical capabilities, operational experience, and the ability to influence senior stakeholders across both commercial and technical organizations.

How You’ll Spend Your Day
Biosimilar Development & Commercialization
  • Provide commercial leadership and input into biosimilar programs throughout development, ensuring that development plans remain aligned with evolving market requirements and commercial objectives. Bring understanding of customer needs to program design.
  • Partner with R&D, Clinical, Regulatory, CMC, and Technical Operations teams to enable development milestones, technical risks, regulatory pathways, and assess potential implications for launch timing and commercial value.
  • Assess competitive biosimilar landscapes including expected entrants, development status, formulation and device differentiation, interchangeability strategies, indications, intellectual property considerations, and launch timing.
  • Clear grasp of biosimilar regulatory pathways and patent/launch considerations. Partner with Market Access, Pricing, Trade, Sales, Medical Affairs, and Marketing to develop integrated go-to-market strategies.
  • Strong understanding of biosimilar market dynamics in the US and EU, including payer and provider economics, ASP trends, buy-and-bill dynamics, GPOs, health systems, specialty pharmacy, contracting, reimbursement, and channel strategy into portfolio decisions.
  • Contributes to development of positioning and differentiation strategies for biosimilars operating in increasingly competitive markets.
  • Participate in governance with external development, manufacturing, and alliance partners as appropriate.
Supply, Manufacturing & Technical Operations
  • Serve as the primary Commercial Portfolio partner to Supply Chain, Manufacturing and Technical Operations for assigned biosimilar products. Hands-on experience working with manufacturing & supply chain organizations is a plus.
  • Integrate commercial demand forecasts with forecasts, manufacturing capacity, supply plans, inventory strategies, and launch requirements.
  • Lead commercial assessment and decision support when supply constraints, manufacturing delays, quality events, capacity limitations, or other operational issues could affect customer supply or portfolio performance.
Your Skills and Experience
  • Bachelor’s degree in Life Sciences, Engineering, Pharmacy, Business, Finance, or related discipline required. Advanced degrees such as an MBA, MS, PharmD, or PhD preferred.
  • 10+ years of progressive experience in the industry including demonstrated experience working specifically with biosimilars, including direct involvement in biosimilar development and subsequent commercialization or launch.
  • Demonstrated previous experience working directly with Supply Chain, Manufacturing, Technical Operations, CMC, or External Manufacturing organizations.
  • Demonstrated ability to lead complex cross-functional initiatives in a matrixed global organization.
  • Ability to synthesize technical, operational, commercial, and financial information and translate it into actionable business recommendations.
  • Strong executive communication and presentation skills, with demonstrated ability to influence senior leaders and cross-functional stakeholders.
