Job summary

Axelera AI is seeking an entrepreneurial, technically exceptional Director of Hardware Engineering, AI Infrastructure Systems. Lead the new division to deliver PCIe Gen6/CXL accelerator cards, OAM modules and rack systems for enterprise AI, sovereign cloud and HPC customers.

You will build and mentor a multidisciplinary team, shape the technical roadmap, review schematics, manage budgets, and partner with AIS, R&D, silicon, SDK and go-to-market teams to accelerate design wins across Europe and

Qualifications

15+ years in hardware engineering for complex electronics products with leadership.
Proven track record shipping datacenter compute hardware into volume production.
Deep expertise in PCIe Gen4/5/6, CXL, high-speed signaling and memory.
Experience with BMC-based platform management and secure boot concepts.

Responsibilities

Build and lead the Infrastructure Systems engineering team from scratch.
Define roadmap for board- and system-level server products and rack systems.
Own end-to-end delivery, validation and mass production readiness.
Drive datacenter-grade platform engineering, firmware, and secure boot.
Collaborate with architecture, silicon, SDK, and GTM teams to realise requirements.
Engage with hyperscalers, sovereign AI operators, and OEMs/ODMs for design-ins.
