Software Engineer – GCP Engineer (Linux, Kubernetes, Azure DevOps, Terraform)

QualogyHome: We are looking for a GCP Engineer (Linux, Kubernetes, Azure DevOps, Terraform) for our client in Amsterdam. Only fluent Dutch‑speaking candidates will be considered.

Responsibilities

• Design and automate the implementation of Business Intelligence (BI) solutions based on SAS 9 and Viya products.
• Perform lifecycle management, hardening security and ensure compliance with international banking risk standards.
• Administer Red Hat Enterprise Linux operating system.
• Administer and manage GKE and/or AKS.
• Use automation tools such as Ansible and Terraform.
• Implement Azure DevOps continuous delivery pipelines.
• Program in Python, Shell and/or PowerShell.
• Version‑control work with GIT or other distributed systems.
• Manage release and lifecycle processes.
• Apply backup, restore and disaster recovery principles.
• Operate enterprise‑level monitoring (e.g., GCP Monitoring) and scheduling automation.
• Apply Agile, Scrum and DevOps practices.
• Collaborate effectively with others and understand business processes.
• Create and maintain technical documentation.

Qualifications

• Several years of experience as a GCP Engineer – must have.
• Administration and management of GKE and/or AKS – must have.
• Automation tools such as Ansible and Terraform – must have.
• Knowledge of Azure DevOps continuous delivery pipelines – must have.
• Programming skills in Python, Shell and/or PowerShell – must have.
• Experience with Git or other distributed version‑control systems.
• Lifecycle and release management experience.
• Backup, restore and disaster recovery principles.
• Enterprise‑level monitoring (e.g., GCP Monitoring) and CMDB administration.
• Experience with Agile, Scrum and DevOps.
• Strong collaboration and business process understanding.
• Creation and maintenance of technical documentation.
• Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology or related field.
• Experience in high‑performing Agile IT teams.
• Track record of successfully automating software product operations.
• Hands‑on installation, upgrade and support experience with SAS 9 and/or SAS Viya – nice to have.
• Excellent understanding of English.
