Would you like to work as a DevOps Engineer on innovative IT for molecular diagnostics? Develop a new IT infrastructure and workflow, from databases and system integration to CI/CD, and use your technical expertise to contribute to reliable and efficient diagnostics.
Design and build a database platform (Azure SQL, Azure object storage) for structured registration of samples, patient data, sequencing files and diagnostic metadata, integrated with the existing laboratory management system (LMS). Connect clinical ordering systems to workflows for molecular diagnostics; automate sample registration, report generation and the feedback of results to the LMS. This helps prevent manual data entry and transcription errors. Set up and maintain CI/CD pipelines (Kubernetes, ArgoCD) on available HPC infrastructure to ensure reliable and maintainable production systems.
You have a technical background and are interested in combining software development, infrastructure, data and system integration in an environment where your work directly contributes to healthcare. Completed higher professional education (HBO) or higher (master's or PhD) in Computer Science, Software Engineering or a comparable IT degree. Demonstrable experience with database design and management (e.g. Azure SQL, relational databases). Proficiency in containerization and orchestration technologies (Docker, Kubernetes) and CI/CD tooling (e.g. ArgoCD, GitLab CI). Experience working in Linux/UNIX environments and with version control using Git and GitHub/GitLab. Strong programming skills in Python and the ability to quickly learn new technologies. Excellent problem-solving skills, attention to detail and a proactive approach to identifying and resolving issues. Ability to work independently, maintain an overview and set priorities. Strong communication skills and a collaborative approach, suited to working with clinical, IT and research teams. Good command of Dutch is important, as you will work with Dutch-language systems, databases and processes in healthcare. Будет плюсом: Familiarity with cloud platforms (e.g. Azure) and the design of data pipelines; Knowledge of clinical or laboratory information systems (e.g. LIS/LMS integrations)
