Job summary

ITQ is op zoek naar een ervaren Platform Engineer die verantwoordelijk is voor het ontwerpen, implementeren en onderhouden van geavanceerde platformen op basis van cloud-native technologieën zoals Kubernetes. Je zet CI/CD-pijplijnen op, automatiseert deployment processen en bewaakt de systeemprestaties om issues snel te verhelpen.

Je blijft op de hoogte van de nieuwste cloud-native ontwikkelingen en DevOps-praktijken, levert continue verbeteringen en werkt nauw samen met klanten en collega’s.

Qualifications

• Voldoende kennis van Windows en/of Linux-systeembeheer.
• Ervaring met virtualisatie en infrastructuur (Compute/Netwerk/Storage).
• Bij voorkeur ervaring met VMware en hyperscale cloud (AWS/Azure/GCP) en automatisering van cloudinfrastructuur.
• Kennis van Kubernetes en Docker, CK A/CKAD-certificering of bereidheid deze snel te behalen.
• Actieve betrokkenheid bij procesautomatisering en regelmatig gebruikte scriptingtaal.
• Kennis van de CNCF-wereld en open-source projecten around Kubernetes.
• Ervaring met Git en GitOps.

Your role at ITQ

As a Platform Engineer at ITQ, you will be responsible for designing, implementing, and maintaining advanced platforms based on cloud-native technologies like Kubernetes. Your tasks will include setting up and managing CI/CD pipelines, automating deployment processes, monitoring system performance, and troubleshooting any issues that arise. You'll stay up to date with the latest cloud-native technologies and DevOps practices, continuously contributing to improvements and optimizations.

Your responsibilities and technologies

• Solid knowledge of Windows and/or Linux system administration.

• Some familiarity with infrastructure (Compute, Network, Storage, Cloud Management). Ideally, experience with VMware infrastructure and/or one of the hyperscale cloud infrastructure portfolios (AWS/Azure/GCP), and perhaps automating cloud infrastructure with tools like Terraform or CloudFormation.

• Understanding and preferably some hands-on experience with Kubernetes and Docker. You are either certified or eager to obtain the CKA or CKAD certifications quickly. Maybe you even have a local Kubernetes distribution running on your laptop.

• Active involvement in process automation and familiar with at least one scripting language.

• Some awareness of the open-source community, especially the CNCF landscape of projects such as Kubernetes itself and those typically associated with k8s, like networking tools for overlay, ingress, and load balancing.

• Some experience using Git and understanding the fundamental principles of GitOps.

• You have good social, advisory, and communication skills, and are fluent in both Dutch and English.
