Day‑to‑Day Responsibilities

• Focus on development and operations within Way4, using Oracle PL/SQL.
• Manage operational tasks for smooth deployment, monitoring, and maintenance of the application.
• Improve CI/CD pipelines, maintain infrastructure, and automate routine tasks.
• Collaborate with development and QA teams for seamless integration and deployment of new features.
• Monitor system performance and resolve incidents for high availability and reliability.
• Engage in daily discussions with colleagues to refine development and operational processes.

Who Are We Looking For

• You have a higher degree in IT or some years of relevant experience.
• You have first‑hand relevant experience as a backend engineer, ideally within a DevOps environment.
• You must have real‑world hands‑on experience with Oracle PL/SQL development and basic Oracle DBA knowledge.
• Infrastructure knowledge (Windows, Linux) and strong scripting skills in languages such as Python, VBScript, Bash/Shell.
• Build, set up, and manage development tools and infrastructure.
• Develop and manage CI/CD pipelines to automate build, test, and deployment processes.
• You are comfortable in English, both spoken and written, and possess effective collaboration skills with cross‑functional teams.
• Willingness to participate in first‑ and second‑line support and work outside normal office hours (e.g., during releases and incidents).
• Installation and deployment of software (releases, patches).
• Perform root‑cause analysis and provide solutions for production errors.
• Familiarity with monitoring and alerting solutions.
• Proficiency with CI/CD pipelines and automated deployment tools such as Jenkins or GitLab.
• Understanding of networking concepts and protocols.
• Understanding of security best practices and compliance standards.
• Experience working with an external vendor, specifically OpenWay and WAY4 as a solution.
