Job summary

Coolblue seeks an energetic Developer C# to join the Rotterdam team. You will design, build, and maintain software that keeps colleagues and customers smiling, using clean, testable code and modern patterns.

You’ll collaborate with UX, PO, and Data teammates, practice TDD/BDD and SOLID, and participate in sprint demos. The role offers hybrid work, training, and a collaborative, informal culture.

Qualifications

• Minimum 3+ years as a developer at medior level or 6+ years at senior level.
• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science or comparable field.
• Strong Scrum/Agile experience and English proficiency.

Responsibilities

Together with the developers on your team, you will design, build, and maintain the software that brings a smile to your colleagues and our customers.

What does a Developer do at Coolblue?

As a Developer, you and your team are responsible for maintaining and developing products that support your domain. You do this by writing well-maintainable, testable and future-proof code. You also regularly take part in brainstorming sessions about user experience, data and task flow with the UX Designer, Product Owner and Data Scientist in your domain. You enjoy doing this

• Solving problems with the best practices and principles we have embraced, such as Clean Architecture, TDD/BDD, SOLID and design patterns.
• Writing automated tests so you know your software quality is on point.
• Working with different types of data storage, such as Oracle, MySQL and DynamoDB.
• Taking ownership of the solutions within your domain’s portfolio by resolving challenges on time using logging and monitoring in Datadog.
• Sharing knowledge through mentoring and pair programming sessions and adding constructive comments to colleagues’ pull requests in Github.
• Having the space to continue developing yourself and deepening your knowledge of the latest technologies.
• Giving and receiving constructive feedback.
• Presenting deliverables during sprint demos.

This sounds like you

• You have at least 3+ years’ experience as a developer at medior level or 6+ years’ experience at senior level.
• You have a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science or a comparable field.
• You feel completely at home working with Scrum/Agile.
• You speak English very well.
